![]() View Atomic Betty - Game Boy Advance only 4.39 and other cards from Nintendo Game Boy Advance (GBA) items. While the graphics are quite similar to that of the show, there isn’t much else I can say about this game positively. We have a large selection of Video Games. This game is a great example of how bad most licensed games are, even with a good developer such as Namco. I won’t continue describing all the levels, because that would mean I would have to continue playing it, and I don’t want to torture myself any longer. Betty use a Kung-Fu attack, Sparky uses a mechanical claw, and X-5 has a rolling attack, as well as a jetpack. In this level you will encounter robots, that can be defeated in different ways depending on which character you are using. In this level, your two extra characters are: Sparky (a robot) and X-5 (a monkey). The next level is an impressive looking spaceship sequence where you must avoid the asteroids, that are alarmingly close to Earth, and get to a target planet Once you arrive at the alien planet, the third level begins, which returns to platforming. So after receiving the vague mission of “Maximus IQ i up to no good again, and you need to stop him”, Betty transforms into Atomic Betty, and flies off, leaving her basketball team to fend for themselves. (I’m not making this up, I think he was also in the tv show). After you have collected all the homework, a holographic fish dressed as a general appears and informs you of your mission. ![]() With each sheet you find the “difficulty” increases, but they’re all equally tedious. Nice job, Namco.Īfter finding each sheet of homework you have to play a mini game that involves shooting a basketball into a hoop. ![]() Now here is where it already starts to be sexist, Noah (the boy), is the only person who can move the crates. The first level consists of Betty and her friends, Noah and Paloma, looking throughout the school to find Betty’s homework. The rest of the cutscene is Betty realising that she forgot her homework, and without she won’t be able to play in the basketball game at her school. After defeating a few robots ( by mashing the A button), the player is shown a cutscene that reveals Betty was dreaming. The game starts out with a confusing fight scene that has nothing to do with the rest if the game. This is surprising, because Namco has made many good platformers, this not being one of them. Also, the developer decided to throw in a bit of sexism, just for good measure.Ītomic Betty was developed by Namco, and was released for the GBA in 2005. Atomic Betty for the Game Boy Advance is yet another example of bad tv show being made into a bad videogame.
